Greetings from the Kingdom of Swaziland and the first ever SBS1 in this nation.
After several years of planning and preparation, 11 students joined in the "Switzerland of Africa" for the inaugural school. A partnership between YWAM Swaziland and YWAM Muizenberg(South Africa) enabled this first school consisting of Swazi's, South Africans, Brazilians, Americans, and Zambians to take place.
Jim Nave, the base director in Swaziland, is taking the school along with many of his staff. He has a vision to see Swaziland become a center for Biblical Training; running schools, conducting Bible Seminars in the community, as well as partnering with the local churches. He believes that the Word of God has power to affect all areas of life in the nation with the 2nd highest per capita rate of HIV/Aids in the world.
Several of the students have already expressed an interest in continuing on to SBS 2/3 at other locations. There are opportunities to support Swazi students and future staff in their endeavors. The first ever Swazi Sbs staff member in the world is looking to make a commitment to teaching the Bible in both Swaziland and South Africa. Should you like to help these Swazi's study and go to the nations as missionaries, please email <sbs(at)ywammuizenberg.org>
